The food and customer service here is amazing. Free parking in the back. Grab a menu and place your order then grab a seat and wait for your number to be called. I had the shrimp, with yams & cabbage. Everything tasted amazing. So I went back the next day . Ms. Melissa holds that kitchen down. If you are looking for some delicious soul food stop on in.

A friend of mine was visiting from California and we were looking for a place to eat. I started asking her the usual questions a guy always asks a woman about what she wants to eat. I was fully expecting to be caught in the where are we eating conversation for the next hour or two but she surprised me by stating the obvious, "We're in the South so let's eat some Southern food." Well duh. So LS was close by so we entered and sat at the bar which ended up being a great idea because the bartender Jay was one heck of a guy. He's a fellow actor so we had a great conversation about theatre and film. The atmosphere of this place was very social and ended up having a few amazing conversations with a fellow veteran and a business consultant. As a plus, the food didn't disappoint. I really enjoyed my beef brisket and my friend loved her salmon, okra and cabbage. Overall we left full of belly and mind. I would definitely go back. My entire family loved each of their meals! We were in Atlanta for Christmas and came across this spot on TikTok. I ordered Turkey wing with yellow rice & gravy, with sides of yams and mac cheese. The yams were soooo delicious! Only con there was, was the 10% required tipping.. You order at the counter and after being called by the number on your receipt, you bring the food to your own table. So i'm not sure what exactly you're tipping and why it's required. Love supporting black owned businesses but there's always a catch some how some way. Overall, would recommend! I had seen advertisement & mentions of this restaurant on IG. Suggested it to a friend so we had a lunch date. Agreed to meetup about 15 mins after their opening time. Plenty of free seating inside & parking in the back area. We decided to sit at the bar! I ordered the Mexican Mule. It was tasty with plenty of limes. I was drinking it a little too fast bcos it tasted so good. Also, once we ordered the food then it was a surprise to see them in ToGo containers. Why no actual dishes? I enjoyed each portion of my meal except for the black eyed peas. My catfish was seasoned well & not too salty. I had a taste for them so badly that I made Black eyed peas at home. I'd reduce a star for that much bcos I really wanted my complete meal to be good. I'm unaware of the overall cost since my friend treated me. My extra Mexican Mule was $9, to include the tip. I'll be back again to support a Black owned business. I will not order that particular side again.
